@KatiePuckrikSmells I have YSL Kouros! I get the entire ‘baboon-butt incense’ you mentioned on your blog (I love your description). I love it but, as you said, it’s not a musk-musk. I’ll give Kiehl’s Musk a try too. Though I really wanna try the Bruno Acampora Musc you have! It annoys me that most of the perfumes sold here are mainstream. I need niche!!! Thank you Katie!
@brianbarrtt Jovan Musk for Woman is a clean musk, and it lasts pretty well. I can’t really think of any mainstream musks that are dirty, unless you go away from straight musk to something like YSL Kouros. Oh, and Kiehl’s Musk is an affordable musk on the dirtier side you might try.
@KatiePuckrikSmells Sadly, I can’t seem to find most of the NR perfume line here in the Philippines. I saw NR For Her edp only once in a department store. Although, I do have a few musk-based fragrances like Lovely, Bvlgari Pour Homme & Kenzo Power. But they’re rather ‘clean’. I want something dirtier, more animalic. I’m still waiting for SJP to release her ‘body-odor’ inspired unisex fragrance. What musk category is Jovan Musk for Women Oil? Clean or dirty? And does it last on the skin? Thanks!
@brianbarrtt NR For Her edp/edt both strike me as pretty girly, but I’ve never smelled it on a fella, so maybe you could swing it over to the guy’s side with your sheer masculinity! I do think Jovan Musk for Women oil is more unisex. Can’t remember if we’ve chatted about this, but if you love musk and oil, have you worn NR For Him Musc Oil? That one is another wonderful (shared, in my opinion) musk fragrance.
Hi Katie! I was wondering, since your talk of musk got my ears flapping, can a guy wear Narciso Rodriguez For Her edp? I love musk! And your description of how beautiful this scent is has me intrigued. (Oh, did you get a bottle for the holidays?)
Speaking about musk scents, what are your thoughts on Jovan Musk for Women (the Oil version)? It’s cheap and looks interesting. And I love perfume oils.

I visited the Fragonard Parfum factory in France, and got a beautiful smelling perfume from there, but now it’s almost out. Do you have any idea where I can buy Fragonard perfume that ships to Canada?

@MsCinone Well, I always say that ultimately, you’re the expert in how you want to smell. If a fragrance uplifts your spirit and makes you feel like “enhanced you”, then it’s a winner! But yeah, I’m in the For Her fan club with ya!

Wow, watching your reviews I was a little intimidated, to have your nose, your knowledge and by the sounds… your childhood! *sigh* However after hearing your comments about Narciso Rodriguez, For Her, I’m a tad relieved, it’s been my favourite for 2 years. I get the most perfume related compliments when I wear it and it just makes feel… feminine and beautiful. I shall happily drench myself in the stuff from now and go forth confident in the knowledge that I smell… like a spring garden :-D
I really want ed hardy heart and daggers.
well I already know I’ll get Opium EdP from my mom. Creed ‘s Erolfa, Chergui by Serge Lutens and Terre d’Hermes are also on my wishlist.

@lilylowsky When I saw “oriental woodsy types” I immediately thought of Van Cleef & Arpels Bois d’Iris. It’s really appealing, on the drier side, sweet-ish wood, and not overpowering at all. Is Bijan a bit powdery? You might also try Kenzo Flower Oriental. A more ambery oriental that I love is Miller Harris Fleur Oriental.
