If a person said they have allergies to fragrances could they still smoke cigarettes?
I have a friend who says he is allergic to perfumes and fragrances but he still smokes

your friend is lying through his teeth. He might just not like how those things smell, or is sensitive to their scent. Have you tried to get him to stop smoking?

It can happen. My mother-in-law is allergic to some fragrances, which limits what she uses for soaps, cleaners, and forget the candles and scented sprays, yet she is a chain smoker. If you are allergic to a fragrance, it is a specific fragrance (not just any old scent that would be suckie for anyone who is allergic to fragrances). My mother-in-law, like I mentioned, cannot handle citrus scented fragrances (which again limit out some soaps, cleaners, etc). My husband who also smokes is also allergic to the smell of perfumes (especially flowery type perfumes).
There is no reason why someone who is allergic to a fragrance cannot smoke cigs, unless they are allergic to the smell of a cig (or a certain thing in a cig, like say the menthol in menthol cigs).
fragrances have certain chemicals in them that people can definitely be allergic to. Cigarette smoke is completely different, so your friend could very well be telling the truth.
agreed. smoke is completely different from a fragrance.
