How can i make homemade home fragrances?
I want to make something that will not harm the environment. I usually use glad sprays but, if i can make something on my own without chemicals and having to constantly recycle packaging i'd be so happy.

Please tell me which stores i can find the ingredients and also they proces.

Thanks in advance:)

Cinnamon sticks simmer on stove top makes whole house smell like cinnamon you can buy them at your local supermarket in the spice isle.

Something else that smells good, take a glass container that you can fit a candle in..fill it halfway with coffee beans, and put a short wide vanilla candle on it….the heat will kind of roast the beans, putting a vanilla coffee scent in the air.

I make my own air fresheners by getting a 2 ounce mister spray bottle from the cosmetics aisle, drip about 20 drops of my favorite essential oils or a blend of essential oils and then fill half with vodka/alcohol and the rest with distilled water. Shake before you spray to thoroughly mix he oils. I buy my essential oils from http://www.wellingtonfragrance.com . They have an excellent selection and are very affordable. You will pay less there for one ounce what you would pay for 1/8 ounce at the health food store.

Mix a few drops of your favorite essential oils (available at health food stores) with distilled water. Pour into spray bottles, shake before each use. There are so many essential oils available, you can make any fragrance you want, you can even mix more than one (my favorites are lavender, and lemon grass). You can also add as much of the oils as you would like, to make it just right for you.

    Air Fresheners/Deodorizers:
    1) Place cloves, cinnamon sticks, allspice or other favorite scented spice in a pot of water , simmer for 1-2 hours
    2) Put a few slices of leftover orange or lemon rinds in a pot of water, simmer for 1-2 hours
    3) Place baking soda in an open container of your choice. Good for closets, refrigerators and other small enclosed spaces
    4) 2-3 slices of white bread absorbs refrigerator odors
    5) Place lemon slices in an open bowl in the kitchen
    6) Lemon and baking soda spray:
Dissolve baking soda in 2 cups hot water, add lemon juice, pour into spray bottle, spray into air as air freshener
    7) Place unscented kitty litter placed in bowls to absorb room odors
    8) Vinegar in a cup or bowl rids rooms of odors
    9) Charcoal placed in a bowl rids rooms of odors
    10) Simply light a match for a few moments or burn a candle (scented or unscented). The flame from either will “eat-up” bad smelling gases in the air
    11) Pour vanilla extract into a shallow dish and set in an out of the way place
