WE have an emotional, patriotic poet to thank for the delicious rice dumplings known as zong. The fifth day of the fifth Lunar month, known as Duan Wu Jie or Tuen Ng (in Cantonese) festival, is celebrated with a signature food item — zong or glutinous rice dumpling.
